At The Park Business Centre, we believe that looking after your wellbeing doesn't always require a long lunch break or a day away from the office. Sometimes, the most effective reset is simply stepping outside for a few minutes.
Just a short walk from our West Perth offices, Outram Street has recently welcomed Forage, a striking new large-scale road artwork by renowned Perth artist Sioux Tempestt. The installation has transformed an ordinary section of road into a colourful celebration of Western Australia's unique native flora and pollinators, creating another reason to explore the vibrant West Perth neighbourhood.
Inspired by the natural beauty of nearby Kings Park, Forage features bold illustrations of iconic native plants including banksia, kangaroo paw and bottlebrush. The artwork has been carefully designed to be enjoyed from multiple perspectives. It creates an impressive visual experience whether you're driving through the precinct or taking the time to explore it on foot.
The installation forms part of West Perth Local's growing Bee Scene Trail, a community initiative that has introduced murals, sculptures, bee hotels and wildflower gardens throughout the precinct, helping create a stronger identity for West Perth while celebrating biodiversity and public art.
The project was commissioned through the Streets Alive initiative, funded by Main Roads Western Australia and delivered by Doing Co, with additional support from the City of Perth and WALGA.
Modern workdays often involve long periods sitting at a desk, attending meetings or focusing on screens. Research consistently shows that taking short movement breaks throughout the day can improve concentration, creativity and overall wellbeing.
A simple 10 to 15-minute walk can help:
Reduce mental fatigue.
Improve focus and productivity.
Increase creativity and problem-solving.
Lower stress levels.
Encourage healthy movement during the workday.
For many of our clients, a quick walk around West Perth has become part of their daily routine, providing an opportunity to reset before returning to important meetings or projects.
One of the benefits of working from The Park Business Centre is being surrounded by some of Perth's best cafés, green spaces and public art.
The new Forage installation provides another excellent destination for your next wellness break. Whether you are grabbing a coffee, walking to Kings Park or simply taking a few minutes away from your desk, it's well worth adding to your route.
Supporting workplace wellbeing is about more than creating comfortable office spaces. It's about encouraging healthy habits and making the most of the vibrant community that surrounds us.
If you haven't seen Forage yet, we encourage you to take a walk and experience one of West Perth's newest public art installations for yourself.
The Park Business Centre offers flexible offices, meeting rooms, coworking spaces and business support services in the heart of West Perth. Our central location provides convenient access to Kings Park, cafés, restaurants, public transport and a growing collection of public art and community spaces that help make every workday more enjoyable.
Whether you're based here every day or visiting for a meeting, take the opportunity to step outside, recharge and discover everything our neighbourhood has to offer.
