It is no secret that the world is facing a skills crisis, one that has been felt across all fields within Australia.
There is a severe shortage of qualified talent and recently an even broader gap between the demand for skilled employees of the present, and the workforce of the future — hence the interest and benefit in upskilling.
The Park Business Centre is continually maintaining a strategic up-skilling effort for the value of our business, and also the clients who use our team for their own business support. The Park is investing in it's staff members and encouraging them to learn new skills. This involves identifying individual areas that will be most valuable in the future, and of course the businesses that will need them.
Why is up-skilling so important in the workplace for our clients? Workers who upskill are likely to exhibit stronger problem-solving abilities, a higher level of productivity, and better performance overall. Up-skilling staff has been shown to lead to greater productivity; improved staff morale; lower staff turnover; and less need for supervision.
Our Function Coordinator and Client Services team member Tess has recently completed a training course at the Australian Institute of Management on preparing agendas and taking minutes. Tess will be using the skills learned at this course in her other role as Membership Services Officer, working for our clients The Concrete Institute of Australia.
As a member of our serviced office community, we have dedicated team members that manage your mail, couriers, conference bookings, IT issues and any other requirement you may have. The Park is able to fill in the administrative gaps your business might be facing without the commitment of having to hire a full time or part time staff member. Having an on-site management team has a variety of benefits, most importantly smoother running of day to day operations.
