Painting The Park blue for JDRF Giving Day

Our clients and community joined The Park Business Centre in the mission to cure type 1 diabetes by raising funds as part of JDRF's Giving Day

Thanks to the commitment of The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation community, and generosity of everyone who took part in this day including the partners, who matched each donation doubling the total amount raised on this single day. JDRF managed to reach it's goal of raising $2m for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. These funds will go on to support the best and brightest researchers to bring us closer to a world without type 1 diabetes.

Have you heard of ‘Rufus’ The Bear with Diabetes? Rufus is provided for comfort and companionship to newly diagnosed children with type 1 diabetes. He has helped tens of thousands of families be brave as they learn a world of finger pricks and injections.

Over 127,000 Australians are currently living with type 1 diabetes. Did you know someone with type 1 diabetes needs sugar. Low blood sugar can be caused by many factors but eating as little as 6-7 jelly beans could safe a life!

On Thursday the 9th of June we passed around blue cup cakes at morning tea, arranged a pre-ordered lunch, and also had a guess the amount of jelly beans in the jar competition for a donation to help raise funds.

So far The Park Business Centre community has raised over $1,550 for T1D research!

Thank you to all that have given. It's not too late to support this wonderful cause, by clicking Donate Now.
